Hi, Clarinets!
Thank you for all your work on the high notes, clarinets! Your instrument has a different challenge than all of the others. Going over the break is a tough concept, but you've all done some great work on it. Keep it up!
Here are some things to work on.
Aztec Celebration
Play out strong at the beginning of the piece and at measure 55. 2nd clarinets, play out even stronger! 1st clarinets, nice job going over the break! Keep working on doing it without stopping.
Ayre and Dance
Try for four measure phrases, so don't take a breath after measure 4. Right before measure 33, bite down and get those notes in tune! Play out at measure 57!
Mystic Legacy
When you play it by yourself, you sound GREAT! Make sure to play that confidently and that loudly when the entire ensemble plays! Keep the eighth notes steady in the measure before 58.

P. 6 #25 - Glow Worm. This is our next playing test. Work on those accidentals!

1)I am best at Mystic Legacy because that is the one I play the strongest.
2)Aztec Celebration because of the high notes.
3)I played all the songs andtried my best.
i practiced on the ayre and dance music a lot and i think we're getting better at it. the aztec celebration could use some more practice, i think,because some parts i heard didn't sound all that right. i do like it though. there are no certain sections i can think of. i really like you as a teacher and i love the music. i look forward to playing more cool music and to keep getting better at playing.

ReplyDelete2)What I need to work on in band is my tonguing and slurring,because it is hard to slur the tongue right away or tongue then slur right away.
3)I don't know what does ensemble playing but if it means playing together then I contribute by playing my best.
i feel like i am best at would be air and dance because i practis it alot.
ReplyDeletei think i need more practis on the aztec and the begening whrn we are counting because it is kind of hard to count and keep in beat.
by pratising and bring my interments to class eveyday.
i practes Monday and tuesday for 30 min.
